… “This man, rather than the other one, went home justified before God” (Luke18:14)
This Sunday morning at our Valley Worship at St John’s, Itchen Abbas, we will be continuing our short Lenten sermon series looking at the different gifts that we can receive from God as a result of the Cross of Christ. This week we are reminded through Jesus’ words in Luke 18 that we can be ‘justified’—that is, we can be declared ‘not guilty’ and experience God’s complete forgiveness.
We are delighted to welcome Gabby Llewellyn as our visiting preacher. Gabby was ordained in Winchester Cathedral and worked with St Thomas’ Church, Fair Oak and at Her Majesty’s Prison in Winchester. She moved to the Northeast 10 years ago to work in HMP Northumberland and is now attached to a rural church in North Northumberland. We so look forward to her being with us.
I myself am taking some annual leave and will be away from my desk and emails through till next Wednesday (23 March).
