We are delighted to have Dr John Davies back amongst us. His talk, entitled ‘Fame and Obscurity’, will focus on Queen Victoria’s two favourite court artists and will unravel for us the mystery of why Landseer’s fame has survived—whilst Burton Barber’s name has been lost in obscurity.
