The great transition is upon us as we move from August to September.
And we start the new season, this coming Sunday, in a special way—returning to St Mary’s, Easton, after its three summer months when closed for important repairs.
How good it will be to be back—and especially to be celebrating the baptism of Marietta Kennedy. The baptism will be near the start of the service, followed by a shorter, more interactive celebration of communion.
We owe a big ‘thank you’ to the wardens for what they have been doing behind the scenes and especially to all those who will have helped to clean the church, ready fo its reopening.
Looking back over the summer holidays, there have been some lovely things going—for example, Café Church with a Splash, Aoife Gibson’s baptism and, last but not least, the Rectory Garden service over the bank holiday weekend. It’s always good to meet together to worship the Lord—even if in lots of different styles.
With love and prayers
Revd Peter
