The Rector of Itchen Valley Parish is Revd Alex Pease

Alex Pease was educated at Malvern College and Oxford University, after a brief period in the Regular Army, which was followed by six years in the Territorial Army.  He qualified as a solicitor and spent 25 years at Allen & Overy LLP working for that firm as an associate and a partner in Dubai, London and Tokyo. He retired from the partnership in 2005, although continued to work for them on a part time basis until 2015.

He was selected for ordination in 2008 and was trained at St Mellitus College.  He was ordained in 2012 and began his curacy under Revd Andrew Micklefield in Itchen Valley in that year and subsequently under Revd Amanda Denniss.  He and his family moved to live in the Parish in 2015. He has continued to work in the parish, since the completion of his curacy in 2016, as an assistant priest and from 2018 as priest in charge.  This appointment concludes in April 2021 (as explained in the video below). He is married to Lucy and has two grown up daughters.
