Open the Book in Itchen Abbas School

Last week saw another Open the Book assembly at Itchen Abbas Primary School. The story of the Epiphany was vibrantly brought to life by members of the church community.
James Grieg, Gerry Stacey and Tom Rogers were excellently qualified for their roles as Wise Men, and James Young dug deep into his local acting experience to portray an evil, scheming Herod. Many children were also involved as Mary and Joseph, Herod’s advisers, stars and even camels!
Everyone looked spectacular in their costumes, thanks to Jill Croft and the Easton panto wardrobe.
The story taught us that God always keeps his promises and he is pleased with people who wait patiently for answers to prayer.
Members of the church go into school once each half term to bring a Bible story to life. If you would like to be involved in future occasions, do please get in touch with Sonia Cragg.
