Little Rainbows Return to the Valley

This morning saw the first reunion of Little Rainbows for over a year, at St John’s, Itchen Abbas. It was a slightly scaled down version to allow for Covid restrictions, but the joy of being together in person was huge. There were many new babies to meet, born during lockdown, and the toddlers had all doubled in size since our last gathering.

The toddlers just about remembered their dance moves to the songs we sing, and they listened to the story of Jesus spending time with little children, and his invitation for them to come to him.

Sarah Hunt was amazingly helpful serving the parents tea and coffee and some extremely delicious cheese scones and biscuits.

As one mum said, it was a life-giving tonic to be able to spend time with each other again. Judging by the smiles, laughter and happy chattering, I think it was a life-giving tonic for all of us.

Looking ahead, we would love some help with both the children’s craft and also with helping serve coffee. If anyone would like to offer their help on a Monday morning, as and when you feel covid safe, please get in touch with Julia Wright j.c.wright@hotmail.co.uk or Beccy admin@itchenvalleychurches.org

Little Rainbows is a very friendly group, and the parents and toddlers always love meeting new members of the Valley.
