INFORMAL ALL AGE WORSHIP / SUNDAY, 1St AUGUST / SERVICE SHEET
Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father,
in our worship help us to sing your praise,
confess our sins, hear your Word,
and bring our prayers to you,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
Introduction
Opening song – My God’s the King of Me
My God’s the king of the giants
My God’s the king of the lions
My God’s the king of the creatures of the deep
My God’s the king of me
Have you heard the story about my friend King Dave?
Wouldn’t let the giant stand in his way
He said, “Hand me my sling ’cause he’s not that tall,
My God is bigger, and I’ll watch him fall”
Chorus
Have you heard the one about this guy called Dan?
Yes, he was a mighty, holy, praying man
They said, “Throw him to the den of the scary beasts”
But God saved our hero from the lion’s teeth
Chorus
This is more than history
He will do the same for me
Like Jonah and the whale at sea
When I’m lost and afraid, all alone in the dark
You’re with me
Oh, You’re with me
My God’s the king of the giants
My God’s the king of the lions
My God’s the king of the creatures of the deep
My God’s the king of me
We say sorry
Let us confess our sins, the wrong things we have done and
the harm we have caused others, and ask for forgiveness from Almighty God.
Father God,
We are sorry for all the things we do and say and think which make you sad,
and for not thinking of others before ourselves.
Please forgive us, and help us to love you and other people more and more.
Amen
Listen for the God who created you says:
I forgive you, forgive others, forgive yourself and be at peace.

Song – I Will Offer Up My Life
I will offer up my life, in spirit and truth
Pouring out the oil of love, as my worship to you
In surrender I must give my every part
Lord, receive this sacrifice of a broken heart
Jesus, what can I give, what can I bring
To so faithful a Friend, to so loving a King?
Saviour, what can be said, what can be sung,
As a praise of Your name for the things You have done?
Oh, my words could not tell, not even in part
Of the debt of love that is owed by this thankful heart
You deserve my every breath, for You’ve paid the great cost
Giving up your life to death, even death on the cross
You took all my shame away, there defeated my sin
Opened up the gates of heaven and have beckoned me in
Jesus, what can I give, what can I bring
To so faithful a Friend, to so loving a King?
Saviour, what can be said, what can be sung,
As a praise of Your name for the things You have done?
Oh, my words could not tell, not even in part
Of the debt of love that is owed by this thankful heart
What can I give, what can I bring, what can I sing as an offering, Lord?
What can I give, what can I bring, what can I sing as an offering, Lord?
The Hunts will lead us in our prayers
After the prayers we say altogether:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever, Amen
Song –This Little Light of Mine
This light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine
This light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine
This light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine
Jesus is the Light, I’m gonna let Him shine
Jesus is the Light, I’m gonna let Him shine
Jesus is the Light, I’m gonna let Him shine
Let Him shine, let Him shine, let Him shine
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine
Jesus is the Light, I’m gonna let Him shine
Jesus is the Light, I’m gonna let Him shine
Jesus is the Light, I’m gonna let Him shine
Let Him shine, let Him shine, let Him shine
