Our Covid Committee have recently reviewed our Covid restrictions, and our PCC have agreed on changes to services held in our Parish Churches. Taking into consideration the current ongoing Covid situation the PCC have agreed that the following changes will be made for services in our buildings:
We would ask that everyone wear a face covering and remind them that face coverings worn in crowded and enclosed settings protect them and others.
We will re-introduce congregational singing during our services and would ask that people do so from behind face coverings.
Service books will continue to be posted on our website in advance for downloading and printing or viewing on your device.
You will be required to sanitise hands on entering Church.
You are welcome to sit where you wish.
To assist people who wish to remain socially distanced we will be providing cards to put next to them when sat down, asking people to leave the place next to them free.
The receiving of communion will continue to be in one kind following previous Covid directions.
It is no longer necessary to register attendance at services in advance with Beccy (there will still be exceptions to this rule when a service is likely to be very busy, but we will give details when this is required).
We will continue to display the NHS Track and Trace QR codes for our buildings and recommend that these be used by anyone entering our buildings. If you do not have access to the NHS Track and Trace facility when attending a service then please provide your contact details to a churchwarden or by email – firstname.lastname@example.org so you can be contacted in the event of any reported incidents.
In the event of reported Covid contamination, we will close the impacted building for 48 hours.
Any updates or finer details will be shared during the notices of each service.
This guidance will continue to be regularly reviewed by our Covid team.
