Services this Sunday

We have services to suit all preferences this week; an 8.00am BCP Holy Communion; a service of Morning Worship (10.00am); and an afternoon service of Valley Worship at 4.00pm.  Both Morning services will be at St Swithun’s – with coffee and croissants served between the two services. This will be an opportunity for those in the valley who would like to attend one or both services and to meet Peter and welcome him into our community.

Morning Worship at 10.00am  – This service will be based on the Common Worship provision for a service of Morning Prayer.  The Rector will be preaching on the Beatitudes (Matt. 5:1-16), there will be two readings, four hymns and a said Canticle and responses.

Valley Worship at 4 – Valley Worship is the third service taking place this Sunday. It will occupy a new afternoon slot for this month only, taking place at 4pm at St John’s, Itchen Abbas.  The service will be led by Revd Peter Walker who will also be interviewed for the popular Every Day Lives slot; he will also be playing the keyboard!  Tim Clapp will be giving the talk, as well as leading us in worship along with the band. If the weather is fine, it will be in the car.park (no masks necessary) but please bring a chair or rug to sit on. If the weather is wet, it will be inside and we will put a message announcing this on the website.

Everyone is welcome at all of these services and we look forward to seeing you there.  There is no need to book and service sheets will be given out.  We strongly encourage the wearing of face masks whilst inside our church buildings – especially whilst singing.
