Last Sunday, now that we were through our time of national mourning for the Queen, it was great to come together for our Service of Renewal and Dedication and to begin to look forwards to the coming months in our life together in the Itchen Valley Parish.
For those who were not able to be with us, below is the recording of my sermon (based on John 21 and Philippians 3) on the theme of ‘Knowing Christ’.
I would value your listening to this, if you can, as I was speaking from the heart about what I feel is most important in the Church of Christ: we are here, above all, to “know Christ better and to make him better known”.
Afterwards there was an opportunity for people to use this card to write down—as a reminder to take home—the way they felt prompted to respond to this message, and you might like to do the same.
