Our first Cafe Church was a great success and attended by almost 50 people – young and old.  It was a lovely opportunity to come together and share some wonderful cake and conversation.

¹² Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. ¹³ Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. ¹⁴ And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

The focus was on the above passage and was the theme for the short talk and the crafts for the children.  Games and activities were enjoyed inside and outside by the young (and not so young), there was a quiet corner to relax and read the weekend newspapers and an area for prayer including a tree to hang personal prayers on which was prayed over afterwards.
