Today’s Valley Worship

Following our very special Valley Worship service this morning there are a lot of thanks to be shared – firstly for John Barber who led in his usual calm way and Nicky Barber who spoke so powerfully on worship (you can listen below).  Mandy Cummings spoke of a personal worship experience. Jenny and Alfie Crowther read the lesson between them and the Fuggle family led our prayers.

Perhaps, the biggest thanks of all goes to the children who enjoyed some activities whilst relaxing and enjoying being in the service – it was wonderful to have them with us.

1 Peter 2:4-5, 9

Come to him, a living stone, though rejected by mortals yet chosen and precious in God’s sight, and like living stones, let yourselves be built[a] into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people,[c] in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
