Remembrance Sunday is a very important day in our annual calendar within the Itchen Valley.

This year the main Service of Remembrance, attended by the Royal British Legion, will take place in Easton. We will gather at the War Memorial at 10.45am for an Act of Remembrance and then enter St Mary’s church for the 11.00am service. Please park in the village and not in Church Lane.

As in previous years, there will be similar Acts of Remembrance in Avington, Martyr Worthy and Itchen Abbas—all at 10.00am.

This year, for those in Itchen Abbas, there will be the option to go into the church immediately afterwards for some coffee whilst some craft activities are laid on for children. We hope this will make it easier for parents with young children to include them in this important day of national remembrance.
