It was such a joy to share our evening worship last Sunday with the Roman Catholic community in the Valley, and especially to welcome Fr Mark to be our preacher.

He spoke powerfully from the vision of heaven given us in the book of Revelation and then finished his address with insightful words spoken by Pope Benedict XVI after his visit to England some ten years ago. The full text of his sermon will be sent next week

A big ‘thank you’ to all those who made this such a special occasion: especially to Tim Tyler and his choir (with their fine rendition of Stanford’s Magnificat and Nunc  Dimittis and Bach’s beautiful ‘Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring’); and also, to all those who contributed to the warm-hearted hospitality afterwards. This may be coming something of an annual fixture!
