Our guest preacher for this coming Sunday’s Parish Communion at St Mary’s, Easton, will be the Revd Justyn Terry (Vice-Principal of Wycliffe Hall, Oxford).

As my former boss when I was teaching in the United States, I so appreciated having Justyn with us for my Licensing Service back in 2021 and also to be able to invite him back, as the leader of his Oxford-based ‘Gospel Jazz’ band, to Easton’s Harvest Supper last September.

So I look forward to welcoming Justyn again into the life of our Itchen Valley parish: he will be bringing his trumpet again, but also bringing us a message from the most famous verse in the Bible:

“God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
