Two Sundays ago we were listening to Jesus’ words in John 15, saying to his disciples: “I have loved you”, “you are my friends” and “you are chosen”. Great, encouraging words which you can reflect on in listening to the recording of that Sunday’s sermon:
And now, this coming Sunday, we move into John 16 and hear Jesus teaching his disciples about the Holy Spirit, who comes to be our Companion.
Please join us for our Parish Communion at 10.00am at St Swithun’s, Martyr Worthy, as we celebrate the gift of God’s Spirit on the day of Pentecost.
Or, if you would prefer a more reflective service, please come to St John’s, Itchen Abbas, at 6.00pm when Gerry Stacey, LLM, will be leading us in some prayers for Pentecost drawn from the Celtic tradition.
