Last Weekend

Last weekend was a special weekend in Easton. On the Saturday there were great wedding celebrations as Harry and Rachel Brown came together for their wedding day.

The Liverpool-based choir, which Rachel had sung in when performing in the ‘X Factor’ back in 2018, added to the quality and fun of the day—as did the Herbie-styled Volkswagen parked outside the lych-gate for the bride and groom. A wonderful day, full of love and laughter!

And on the Sunday, the church was looking at its best in the glorious early morning sun. We enjoyed coming together to hear the start of our new sermon series looking at Jesus’ ministry in Galilee as told in the Gospel of Mark.

If you want to hear how Jesus’ insisted he had come to bring not just healing but forgiveness of our sins, please look at his powerful words in Mark chapter 2 and listen to the recording of the sermon:

With love and prayers from the Rectory (which is looking at its best with the ‘rambling rector’ rose in full bloom!),

Revd Peter

The Good News according to Mark: “The Son of Man has authority to forgive sins.”
