Services this Sunday
Sunday 18 May
10am Parish Communion (and Ark) – St Swithun’s, Martyr Worthy
We are looking forward to welcoming the Bishop of Winchester, The Rt Revd Philip Mounstephen, to our 10am Parish Communion this Sunday (18th May) at St Swithun’s, Martyr Worthy. Please note that this will be our only service that day and the advertised 8.30am Holy Communion has been cancelled to enable everyone to attend the 10am service with the Bishop. Our Ark will be open for the children to have some fun so please feel free to drop them at the Village Hall before the service starts.

If you are not able to attend our Parish Communion with Bishop Philip but would still like the opportunity to meet him and his wife, Ruth, he will be visiting St Mary’s Church after the service at approximately 11.45 am for up to an hour. Why not tie this in with visiting the wonderful flower displays and open gardens in Easton? The Flower Festival will open with a Sparkling Preview on Friday evening (ticket details below) and the Church and gardens will be open all weekend.

Tickets to the Sparkling Preview can be purchased from this link
https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/itchen-valley-pcc/t-rpkyyxk
The ticket price for the Sparkling Preview also includes entry into all of the participating open gardens and church display for the entire Flower Festival weekend, tickets for the open gardens can be purchased at any of the gardens or church during the weekend.

Revd Peter’s last Services
On Sunday 25th May Revd Peter’s last services in the parish will be held. He plans to take 10am Parish Communion at St John’s, Itchen Abbas and this will be followed by coffee and biscuits and a chance to chat with both Peter and Georgie. In the evening, he will lead the 6pm Evensong at St Swithun’s, Martyr Worthy and this will be followed by wine and nibbles, again to allow members of the congregation to express their thanks to Peter and Georgie and to wish them well in the future.
We do hope you will be able to attend one of these services.
