It’s going to be seriously good fun…..
The band has started rehearsals, the cooks have begun to think about the menu and the speaker has been selected. Everyone is getting ready for Alpha on Tuesday 30th September.
We have been incredibly fortunate that the new Bishop of Basingstoke David Williams has kindly offered to speak at our first session of Alpha. David is known for being an engaging speaker and I am really looking forward to hearing what he has to say on the subject of ‘Is there more to life than this?’
The great thing about Alpha is that it is designed for a spectrum of people from those who don’t like church and haven’t been near one in years, or those who have had bad experiences with Christians, or even for those who would turn off the lights and hide if carol singers come around, right through to those who do attend church from time to time but would like to get re-engaged with the fundamentals of Christianity. Quite apart from anything else, its fun to get what you think off your chest.
Come and check it out – you don’t have to come back after the first session if you don’t want to – but please do let me know by email if you are coming, so that we can plan the catering…
