Revd Tim Gleghorn from Christchurch Winchester spoke last Tuesday on ‘Why did Jesus die?’  – and described the fallen-ness of the world; how pervasive sin is and how impossible it is to eradicate it from our lives by our own efforts; how Jesus is like the judge who imposes a fine on a criminal (the sinner)(because he is just) but pays the fine for him (because he loves us).  A lot of great conversations followed in the three groups!
