Easton Fete 2015

Sally Stone and Iris Lacey write:

Once again, it rained!  Fortunately, not as bad as last year and we were rather more prepared with gazebos coming from all directions and many hands to help on the morning.

Nevertheless, as always, people rallied around and we were ready, willing and able by 1.30!  The Dogends band played on the balcony instead of outside, which seemed a shame but was the only option due to the rain. However, everyone seemed to enjoy their music.

At 4.30, once again it was all hands to the deck to clear away the tables etc and prepare for the Ukulele band to play at 6. This was great fun and the bar remained open as did the barbecue.

Fun was had by all as usual and the Church, Cricket Club and Village Hall benefitted by raising around £7,500 between each.

The committee would like to thank each and every one who helped to make this a very successful day.”

And on behalf of the Itchen Valley Churches – thank you to all those who braved the weather both on the stands and as participants.
