What a great party! We reached even new heights in culinary excellence for our Christmas CAMEO lunch this year – totally delicious turkey with all the trimmings and mince pies following our Holy Communion service. We were 50 altogether and everyone enjoyed the delicious lunch so beautifully cooked by so many. The afternoon was capped off by the Itchen Abbas Primary School choir coming and singing some carols (thank you so much to Mrs. Dear and her team) [photos will follow once the relevant permissions have been obtained] a visit from Father Christmas!
Sadly Lavinia bowed out this year as Chair of the CAMEO committee at this wonderful lunch (after 104 CAMEO lunches which she has organised). A sad farewell but she promises to return as a guest in due course!
Great fun, very delicious and wonderful to see so many of our older residents making their way through the rain and mud to get to the church on time for our service.
Thank you so much to the very many people who made this wonderful party possible.
