On Sunday 23rd February 2020 at our Parish Communion Service at St Swithun’s Martyr Worthy at 10am we have a guest preacher: Revd Katherine Miller whom I met during the Summer last year at our Stewards Trust holiday and who wants to investigate rural ministry – I said to her that you could not have a better example of rural ministry than the Itchen Valley Parish and so she is visiting us to see what it is like!
Katherine has sent the following mini-bio: My name is Katherine and I have just started my curacy at St Matthew’s Church, Fulham. I studied Theology at Durham and completed my MA in Christian Leadership at St Mellitus College, where I trained for ordination. This form of training was mixed mode which allowed me to gain experience in churches and local schools alongside my studies. I am married to Andrew who I met at Durham and we have a son called Freddie who is nearly two. We really enjoy being placed in Fulham and have adjusted to life in London, enjoying the museums and many parks!
