Many thanks to Gerry Stacey for planning and leading our special Service of Prayer for Ukraine on Sunday afternoon. About 30 of us were there, joined by a couple of Ukrainian families. It was lovely to be able to pray for them and their nation, as well as to spend time together after the service enjoying each other’s company.
Earlier in the morning a similar number had gathered at St Swithun’s, Martyr Worthy for our Parish Communion.
My sermon gave some ideas for how we can use the season Oof Lent to walk along the way of Christ and ‘follow him more nearly’.
And a big thanks to Verity Greig for helping the children in the Ark to understand Paul’s words about us all being in the body of Christ. Each one of us is a vital link in the ‘paper chain’!
