Alec Knight 1939-2023

We are very sorry to announce the death of The Right Reverend Dr Alec Knight OBE who was appointed Priest in Charge of Easton and Martyr Worthy in 1983.

He left the parish in 1991 on his appointment as Archdeacon of Basingstoke Canon Residentiary of Winchester Cathedral, when he and his wife Sheelagh moved to the Cathedral Close. In 1998 he was appointed Dean of Lincoln Cathedral, where he served until 2006.

The funeral will take place at 11.45am on Friday 15 December in All Saints Church, Whiteparish.
