Valley Worship Yesterday

Over 50 people enjoyed a wonderful Valley Worship service yesterday. It was particularly special being in our temporary winter location of St Swithun’s Church, Martyr Worthy so that the children could enjoy fun activities in the warmth of the village hall.

Nicky Barber led our service which focused on worship and she introduced Tim Clapp who reflected on what music as worship meant to him and his life.  John Barber spoke on Colossians 3:15-17 and his talk focused on why a heart attitude of gratitude and thanksgiving to God is important and also on the different ways we might express that gratitude, including in song or by singing.  The recording can be heard from the link below or read from the transcript at the bottom of the post.  Tim Clapp and Sarah Noble led our worship which was wonderfully calm and reflective and Jenny and Alfie Crowther led our prayers.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this service happen especially Simon Ffennell who helped  overcome many obstacles, right up until the last minute!

Special thanks go to James and Verity Greig for all of the hard work they put into planning the fun activities for over 12 children who all had a wonderful time.

There will not be a Valley Worship service in December but please look out for details of the January service.

The transcript of the talk can be heard from the link below:
