Please join me this Wednesday (7.30-8.45pm) in St John’s, Itchen Abbas, for the second evening in our Autumn Teaching Series.

We will be thinking together about Holy Communion—the meal Jesus told us to do ‘in remembrance’ of him.

Revd David Chattell will be leading this with me: we both love leading Communions, but rarely have a forum in which we can talk through what is really going on as we participate in these services!

So we will be highlighting some of the great things to look out for in the wording and prayers that we regularly use. Often these ‘set’ words may sound to us formal and dry, but here’s an opportunity to ponder more their depth and brilliance, and to discuss what they can mean to us today.

We’ll start with a hymn at 07.30am and break for some coffee just after 08.00pm. I look forward to seeing you then.
