It is with a heavy heart I have to tell you the sad news abut Revd Peter’s sister.

I spoke with Peter yesterday and he told me how his sister, Jen, had died peacefully in Exeter Hospice in the morning of Wednesday 24 March. Although very sad, there had also been many good opportunities, he said, for conversations and prayer with Jen and the family since he and Georgie and gone down last Thursday: there was a “real sense of a circle of prayer and peace surrounding her”.

Peter has since come back to the Itchen Valley and looks forward to leading us in our Easter Parish Communion service at St John’s Itchen Abbas on Sunday morning at 10.00am.

It’s been a privilege for me to help cover for Peter during this week of absence and I assured him of our love and prayers for him and his family at this time.
